WELCOME TO THE WW2 HISTORICAL SOCIETY

We are a group whose interest lies in the ww2 period .Be it the war itself,
The uniforms and equipment and life as it was in Britain,or merely the fashion,
music and dance of the time.Our events calendar runs from April to October.

| The society attends various events throughout the year as a living history display team. We have various sections portraying both military and civilian groups including life on the home front.We have battlers who attend and participate in mock battles.We also have an R A F team who are able to provide various scenarios including an emergency operations room.

As a member of the society you will be able to attend various 1940s events throughout the country, as guests of the organisers.
You will have chance to meet others with the same interest as yourself,plus help in seeking out authentic or reproduction clothing or equipment of the period.
We like to represent the period as accurately as possible also,with respect for the people who were there,therefore,we expect members to dress and act accordingly.Advice on authenticity is freely available by contacting other members or committee members who will direct you to suitable sources of information.
